THIS LEADEN PAUL
Ran for ten years. Did not lead to any actual cash being found in an attic or other roof space. Kept Jules Hudson off the streets, I suppose.

JUST MARK
Cash In The Loft sounds a much more appealing programme.

Load of old shite and old abandoned wasps’ nests in mine. But if I ever get desperate there seems to be a hole through which I could burgle the neighbours.
This might lead to a spin off series “Cash via the Attic.”

In my attic there’s 262 model trains that I’ve collected over the past 45 years, I’d sooner smash them up than sell them.

Like Marc Riley (R6M last night, 1:04:55) http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05x8jzz I used to keep my old LPs in the attic, until a plasterer told me there was a good chance that, one of these fine nights, they would come through the ceiling.
Now I think of it, some of them were by Johnny Cash.

Presenter Lorne Spicer was registered bankrupt at Southend County Court. Wonder if she gets to Roots Hall.

Nige
what’s roots hall?

Sounds like a reggae venue to me.
How appropriate that a ‘Nige’ should bring up the 20,000 mark and well played everyone, congrats to Chris on this fine milestone, etc, etc.

Dr Desperate
(Bit of an anti-climax, that, to be honest.)

You could have done better yourself there with such a fine-looking palindromic number as 20002.
5 June 2015
Nige
didn’t notice the number to be honest – feel free to delete it and wait for something more becoming of such a milestone

EXXO
Nah, you done great Nige, if yours was deleted then mine would be 20,000th and it wouldn’t make sense, and if you deleted that then John’s would be and that would make even … no, hold on that one would make great sense and be a real anti-climax.

Not cash in the attic but a smallish HMHB scrapbook in me Ma’s loft including Geoff’s letters when he replied to my letters in days before t’internet.

The front page says that there’s been 20,020 comments so far (prior to this one) and when you go to the chronological order the 21st comment down is the comment before so surely that is the 20,000th comment?
5 June 2015
EXXO
It changes when Chris approves a comment that’s been waiting in limbo, so Nige’s was the 20,000th comment for just a few minutes and then suddenly the one before it was, making whole conversations redundant in the way that most conversations are anyway.

To the Half Moon in Putney next month (while we’re up for the WI Test at Lord’s), to see a Man In Black tribute band called Cash.
I might suggest they do a tour of guerrilla gigs in Ashford, Bristol, Hyde, Liverpool, York and the Isle of Dogs, each of which has a venue called The Attic.

I once moved into a house and on checking the loft found a desiccated human, presumably, turd in a plastic lunch box. An allegory for said TV programme, perhaps? I should’ve phoned the programme’s producers.
