Gigging over seven decades, Bream latterly shared the same management as the Tallis (qv) Society, with whom he often performed, and the Brodsky Quartet (who are still on holiday and really ought to be qv). Benjamin Britten also adapted Dowland (qv) especially for Bream’s lute.

As Gipton Tony will attest (if only I could tag him), our local here is next to a very fine chippy and the local doesn’t do food, so wa-hey they don’t mind chips in the pub or the tables outside.
Mrs Exford, mid-session with mates, text/ed me earlier to grill some fish and bring it outside said local in order that she might consume with some chips to go therewith, for the sakes both of parsimony and batter-avoidance. I found a large Morrisons (sea) bream in the fridge. Inevitably it was christened Julian before consumption, and eaten in memoriam with a pint of Timothy Taylor’s.

JB’s nephew
As one of JB’s nephews, I commend you for memorial dinner. We had ready-meals that night. I had a pie, my better-half and JB’s sister had quiche.
Your meal was much more thoughtful. Thank you.
