I’ve seen Len Ganley in his underwear. Beats a picture of Lord Gort hands down.

By some accounts, he was flattered by ‘his’ song. I doubt whether Nerys Hughes or Bette Midler were so enthusiastic.

He went from Lurgan to Burton -on -Trent to visit his sister and never returned. I went to Lurgan very briefly in 1972. Twinned with Chernobyl,Kandahar and Hartlepool.

Peter Mcornithologist, ‘He went from Lurgan to Burton-on-Trent to visit his sister and never returned’ – is this a line from a song? If not it should be. Beautiful!

Sorry CtSO I appreciate you have been busy bringing us the hugely entertaining LFC but the big man is a big omission from the A-Z…
Well, for one thing, a “Len” entry would have at least one “Suzanne” (q.v.) reference.

I don’t know CtSO, I don’t know his music there is this reference to him and two of his songs in the Lyrics, I do know he had to come out of retirement some years ago after discovering he had been cleaned out by his manager… and he’s an Canadian.

Good spot, Dirk. I guess “Len” should have its own entry for completeness, but would it just have the same commentary as this entry?
