Strictly speaking, the late Mr. Kilminster had mutton chops rather than sidies as they joined forces with the ‘tash, though it was a particularly fearsome array of face-fungus.
I think Lemmy ought to be given a viking funeral, floated out to sea on a boat with one of his Rickenbackers then set alight. Quite apart from it being a fitting end to a true legend, there’s also the public safety element of setting fire to someone who’d put away so much JD and vodka over his long and eventful life; it’s something you _really_ shouldn’t do near human habitation….

Doctor -please help. I find myself turning into some sort of conditioned response loon, automatically pointing out HMHBwhenever they are made. The problem is that I point them out to people who have neither interest or knowledge of the band and so am increasingly on the receiving end of funny looks. For example, a friend told me of a colleague who suffered from restless legs syndrome. I referenced (obviously) and was met with polite indifference. The Alarm came on while in a friend’s car. Cue Mike Peters reference. I could have been speaking Greek. To someone who used to have a temporary job in B&Q , I politely explained that they would know where things were therein. The result was a definite unease on their part. My only consolation was avoiding pointing out the links between Junior Kickstart and that footprints malarkey to a visiting cleric who used the same in a primary school assembly. Please tell me how I can break this trend or am I forever damned/blessed? Enjoyed the references to South Liverpool. Went to watch them with a broken shoulder prior to pints in the Villiers and then John Cooper Clarke and the Fall at, I think, the Royal Court in about 83. Hull gig or my dad’s 90th birthday?
