Also in terms of football teams there is the majesty of Excelsior Rotterdam who are sometimes referred to as the Paper Recyclers due to in time of hardship the chairman would recycle paper at the nearby plant. On one occasion he got so much money for his recycling that he joked “Get on the phones, we’ve got enough money now to sign Johan Cruyff!”
