Coincidentally, tonight was the first time for years that I have annoyed Mrs. Exford with my Xherdan-Shaqiri-as-Father-Dougal witterings [e.g. “Ted, Ted, how hard should I hit this corner, Ted?” at every opportunity]. Couldn’t help meself ‘cos it was the first time the Ardal O’Hanlon lookalike and act-alike has been in a big match on my telly since he left Liverpool.
