Looks like processed cheese slices – I remember when I was at school, one idea that was kicked around “for a laugh” was attaching some cheese slices with wires to an alarm clock and leaving it where the teachers would see it. We never managed to “acquire” a suitable alarm clock.
Quite a few explosives have a marzipan-like smell, does that mean you can confuse sniffer dogs (q.v.) with Christmas cake, I wonder?
