Outnumbered by the Serbs.
Which made me wonder, in the pedantic spirit you would surely expect, about the image above. Sure enough: people in Serbian costume, in Australia, which has a large Serbian diaspora of Serbs, most of whom are former Yugoslavians, but not that many Serbians.

Won the first three Balkan Korfball Championships (2006-2008), which I wonder but I doubt if they will ever bring back.

Milan Mandaric, our one-time savior. All went sour very quickly, we were going through managers like sheep through a hole in a hedge. He quickly adopted the name of MOF (Mad Old Fart) by our forum. My partner in crime on the Bentleys Roof forum could take no more at one dire game v Colchester, he ran across the pitch and threw his season ticket at Mandaric in the Directors box, legend has it that our goalkeeping coach tried to catch it but fumbled and dropped it to howls of laughter.

I went to a “multi-ethnic” high school in Melbourne in the 1980’s that included a few people of Yugoslavian descent. They never identified as such, always Serb(ian), Croat(ian), etc. Being a sensitive issue, you wouldn’t want to get it wrong.
Quite a few soccer clubs with Serbian roots in Australia (they even have their own annual tournament) but you cannot be as overt with your origins these days. Always good food at these clubs though, whether they be Greek, Italian, Polish, etc.

Most of these men seem like Serbs.

Nobody on the Beeb even bothers to mention that both scorers for Switzerland there are children of Kosovan refugees. What a game of two halves.
