Huddersfield’s very own… Steve malkmus
Quite an impressive list of works and collaborations on his c.v. according to Wikipedia at least. Won the Mercury Music Prize (q.v.) in 1999 with “OK”. The album did not experience an awesome boost in sales though. Did a remix of a track involving Bill Burroughs (q.v.), apparently.
