In the 80s around Stoke there was a record shop run by Terry Blood. This developed into a booking agency for bands which was called TBA. Always thought it was a clever name although probably the cause of some confusion.

The first soft drink specifically aimed at the dyslexic market, TBA soon found itself rudely jostled for market share by the fruitier, and largely carrot-based ‘Vimto’. Pulled off the shelves in 1971, the makers eventually went on to use the vast stockpile of unwanted TBA ingredients to manufacture Cilit Bang and Tucn biscuits.

In the film Two Lane Blacktop, a character in a bar refers to Tennessee as “a piss-poor state” which could well be a matter of opinion.
