For the Last 16 Knockout Round of the The Lux Familiar Cup, we’ve handed it over to a computer to make the draw and the video of the announcement too. Sorry, the kids’ demands were getting silly, and we had to make a stand. Anyway, here we go…
The matches will be released for voting on this site over the next few days. Watch this space, but in the meantime, your comments on the draw below!
If you’d like alerts when a new tie goes up for voting, make sure you’re on the email list or following all the action on Twitter.

Apologies for the draw being in Flash so that iPhone users get to see a big white space. You’ll have to wait until you get home. Or let the matches themselves be a surprise!

Look like Mr Wilson’s got competition for the least charismatic presenter on the telly.
Looks like Chatteris is taking the hard route to glory! That one and Country Practice v 23 Years are both going to require a long long walk with the dog before I can make my decision.

Is Chatteris v Shite Day the live game and who has the TV rights ?

Chatteris vs Shite is going to be unmissable.
Chatteris will no doubt be playing the tried-and-trusted 3-3-2-1-1 formation: a game bird reserve short on pheasants, weavers’ cottages devoid of tenants and a market town that lacks quintessence across the back; three good butchers playing behind two fine chandlers in midfield; then an indoor pool playing just off a first-class cake shop up front.
And expect a drive-by shouting to come off the bench and do some damage at some point during the game.
But will they be able to contain the mercurial Stringy Bob? Can anyone stop him?

My last four prediction is shot to bits you know. The first round draw guaranteed I’d lose one, now here goes one more while Country Practice faces a stiff test against Tending The Wrong Grave. I know we all lobbied for the open draw but we never expected this …

Got mixed up there.
Monmore will play When The Evening Sun Goes Down. That’s Monmore out then.
Vatican Broadside v Evening of Swing. Evening of Swing gets through on this occasion. What a turnaround.

Some really close matches and some great disappointments. This round looks tasty – this is more fun and already I can feel the vacuum when it’s over.

Jimmy Hill saying ‘shite’ – classic! Pity you couldn’t have got Dickie Davies though, would have been much more appropriate. 😆

I think, in the best Da Vinci code-esque conspiracy theory manner, that Opus Dei knobbled the Honved ref in order to get Broadside through.
We have divine intervention, so come on all you atheists or Ian Paisley mouth-foaming bible basher types; vote for an Evening of Swing. And cancel the Broadside.

Audible groans in our house at that draw. But I’m a bit worried about Jimmy Hill – he doesn’t sound himself. I was hoping Wrong Grave might make the quarters but that’s about as likely as Norwich winning the Premiership

Well, 12 days after the draw, matches in the Last 16 Knockout Round have had more voters than in any of the previous rounds, with Match 2 the busiest, with 368 votes. Even the most recent, Match 8, has had 272 votes.
In contrast, in the Last 32 Knockout Round, the biggest crowd was 341 (again, Match 2) and the gates were lowest at 223 (Match 15). The qualifying group attendances ranged from 246 (Achtung Bono) down to 162 (Back in the DHSS). So as the competition builds, so more bodies are coming through the turnstiles…
