Look, we’ve got to do them all sometime, and this is the one which came up next on the random track selector. Knowing you lot, you’ll probably still find something wrong with my lyrics.

I hate to say this but there’s one set of 13 Eurogoths too many in each verse. Was that a deliberate mistake designed to catch us all out?
Any idea what, if anything, is being said at the end? I think it’s just mumbo jumbo.

Ha ha, yes of course I was, er, just testing you. Mind you, can you ever have too many dead Eurogoths? I agree that it’s just nonsense at the end, off the radio perhaps?
Mind you, on the HMHB Home Page site there are some alternative lyrics attributed to the same titled song although I don’t know the story behind that.

Er, does the word “dead” actually appear at all?
Note to self: get ears syringed.

Does it appear in the song? Sure it does. Although now you mention it, when it comes to my comment “can you ever have too many dead Eurogoths?” above, I’ve just realised there’s no justification for assuming they’re floating around dead. I’d just always visualised them that way. Note to self: try to erase that mental image.

They may not be dead, but I dare say there’s a very real chance that they wish they were (un)dead.

ACIDIC REGULATOR
I’ve just listened to this track more closely than usual, because Mr Tubbs has pointed out that it contains some electonic weirdness and what sounds like a sampled radio station. I feel sure it’s taking the piss out of something rather specific; but what song, artist, or movement, I don’t know. Ideas anyone?

Whether they’re dead or not, the Eurogoths would float. The high salt content of the water means that it’s almost impossible to sink in the Dead Sea.

I like to imagine the metal accessories on their boots making them float upright.

The salt density in the Dead Sea means its very easy to float in it, so these Eurogoths are very much alive I reckon.
Clan of Xymox were always the epitome of Eurogoth for me. I’m seeing them tonight on their 40th anniversary tour, so shall make a point of asking if they’ve floated at all.

Listening to TLP a couple of nights ago (as part of my plan to listen to all the albums in reverse order; only BITDHSS to go now), I thought I’d try isolating the spoken bit at the end, but my software & skills aren’t up to it. From what I can make out, the talking towards the end is Spanish (or possibly Italian), and sounds like it’s a radio recording, with one voice on the phone and another in the studio, judging by the difference in timbre.
